what’s the buzz: weekly round-up and book haul
Wow, the last couple of weeks have totally flown by! I had so much I wanted to get done but didn’t get round to any of it, which kinda sucks but never mind! I’m sure I’ll get to it eventually. 😉
Apart from stressing about all the things I’ve neglected to do, it’s been a quiet couple of weeks. I spent most of the the last fortnight catching up on my reading and trying to tackle my ever-increasing TBR pile (somewhat successfully!)
I was super-happy to hear that the Mass Effect trilogy is getting a remaster – and that this was announced on N7 Day! I will be looking forward to replaying one of my all-time favourite series in ultra HD!!
How awesome is this?!?! I am so stoked – 2021 cannot come soon enough (to be honest, the sooner 2020 is over, the better).
I also managed to find the time to acquire some bookish and gaming merch (nothing stops me from shopping lol):
- The Untamed Night Sky edition set and Cloud Lotus pins from KRS Centic: These pins are so beautiful – the photo does not do them justice at all.
- Diamond BingQiu and Diamond MoShang pins from Not Vanessa Lee, Legend of Fei, Wangxian day and night set pins from eBay, : I adore these pins and I’m so glad Vanessa opened up another round of pre-orders. I also got the Wangxian and Hulian ones (ordered separately) but they haven’t arrived yet.
- MDZS bunnies set from How Petals Fall: These bunny pins (representing Lan Wangji, Wei Wuxian, Wangxian and Nie Huaisang) are just so super-adorable, I can’t even…
- Official MDZS pins from Kaze (sourced from Aitaikuji and eBay), Wangxian pin from eBay: I am loving these pins! They are so pretty I just can’t stop looking at them!

- Aerith and Yuna Final Fantasy pins from Jeileen Art, Cloud (FF7) and Joker (Persona 5) pins from Ginger Pins and Designs: Some pre-orders arrived this week and they are awesome!! I also was able to snag this variant Joker when the shop was having a sale – so pleased with him!
- Autumn pin set from Stacey McEvoy Caunt, Cruel Prince and Honey Bee pins from That’s Lovely Dear Shop: I am loving these Halloween-themed pins and I’ve had my eye on the Cruel Prince and Honey Bee pins for ages.
- Yuri on Ice pin set from Bogigrell Anime Art, Victor Nikiforov Funko Pop from Amazon: I am over the moon with these Yuri on Ice pins (and I couldn’t resist getting the Funko when I saw it!)
