Backlist Books
I know we all probably have a lot of backlist titles sitting on our shelves whether physical or virtual so this topic will probably resonate with most bookish folks!
Here are my top 5 backlist books that I’ve been eyeing up for a while but have yet to get to (for some reason or other):
1. An Ember in the Ashes by Sabaa Tahir
I’ve had this one on my Kindle since it was first released years ago and still haven’t read it yet (shameful, I know…) Since I recently purchased the full set in hardcover from Fairyloot I really have no excuse now as to why I haven’t read this series so it is definitely one I want to get to very soon.
2. Red Queen by Victoria Aveyard
I actually got Red Queen as an ARC years ago and tried reading it but it didn’t grab me. That still didn’t stop me buying it and the rest of the series as they were released. For sure it’s long past time for me to read these books!
3. Six of Crows by Leigh Bardugo
This was made even more clear that it was time to finally read these books after I watched (and loved!) the Netflix series. The Crows were the best part of it for me so I know I should read these books sooner rather than later. I did start the Grisha trilogy way back when (when Shadow and Bone was called The Gathering Dark here in the UK!) and enjoyed it but wasn’t motivated to read the rest. This must change…
4. To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before by Jenny Han
Again, I bought this book aback when it was first released but haven’t read any of the books as yet despite watching the Netflix movies based on the trilogy. I enjoyed the films so I know I will enjoy the book – it’s just finding time to knuckle down and read it!!
5. Strange the Dreamer by Laini Taylor
I’ve heard so may great things about the duology (and own the stunning hardbacks with those gorgeous sprayed edges!) and it’s criminal I haven’t delved into them as yet. Must make this a priority!!

These are awesome choices! I’ve really wanted to read Red Queen and To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before too!!
Thanks! It’s actually shameful how long these books have been on my TBR pile lol. 😀
Six of Crows is one of my favorites! I was really pleased with their prequel story in Shadow and Bone. The casting is fantastic for everyone but especially the.!
Yeah, I thought they really implemented their story into S&B really well. I enjoyed the show as a whole but the Crows were the standouts! (and Ben Barnes as The Darkling *swoons*)
