Stacking The Shelves – a weekly meme hosted by Tynga’s Reviews

Stacking the Shelves

Stacking The Shelves is all about sharing the books you are adding to your shelves, may it be physical or virtual. This means you can include books you buy in physical store or online, books you borrow from friends or the library, review books, gifts and of course ebooks!

  • Participants are to create their own Stacking the Shelves post and link bank to Tynga’s Reviews so more people can join the fun!
  • Posts can be laid out any way you want.
  • The host site posts updates on a Saturday but bloggers taking part can post any day they choose.
  • Visit Tynga’s Reviews on a Saturday and add your link.
  • Visit other participants sites to find out what they have added!

The rules are simple and it is a really fun way to showcase your books and see what other bloggers are excited about this week! Not to mention the fact that it is a good way to interact with and get to know other bloggers!

I have been MIA from my blog over the last couple of weeks. I have not really been having a great time, to be honest. There has been lots of changes going on at my work which have been getting to me a lot. As a result I have not felt up to blogging at all, truthfully today is the first day I have even felt motivated to put up a post.

I have been playing a lot of Dragon Age to deal with my stress (the new Trespasser DLC is the bomb!) as well as Until Dawn (a really awesome little survival horror game). For some reason, gaming helps me unwind at times like this. I do feel bad for neglecting my blog though, and not responding to comments over the last few weeks. I will try to do better, promise! 🙂

books bought:

sarahjmaas

I already own a copy of this book on Kindle but I couldn’t resist picking up a signed copy!

I don’t know too much about this book but the cover is awesome and the synopsis sounds really great.

for review:

Look what I got approved for on Netgalley! I have the first book already so I am really looking forward to tearing through this series. I love Patrick Weekes’ writing for BioWare so I am really excited to read this series.

Another couple of Netgalley approvals. I am trying to request less so I can catch up on the ones I already have but these looked too good to pass up!

other bookish (and otherwise) purchases:

cards    hermione

I finally got the Dragon Age: Inquisition playing cards (thanks sweetie!!) not to mention a funky mug and a Loki Funko!!

I also couldn’t resist picking up the Hermione Granger Funko (the rest of the Harry Potter Funko figures are also calling to me).

buffy    trees

Not to mention the Buffy Funko! Isn’t she cute?

I also bought a really awesome (Raven Cycle-themed) tote bag from the lovely BrainsandBooks on Redbubble which I adore!

totes    totes 1

The really awesome Ceridwen Hazelchild Design also has some fantastic tote bags. I picked up one for myself and a couple for gifts – they are so gorgeous I want to keep them all lol (but I won’t). 😉

dragon age    until dawn

I also bought the Trespasser DLC (so, so good!) and Until Dawn. Both played to completion (naturally!)

Hope everyone had a great week!

I think blogging breaks are good now and then. It is a good time to get inspired for future blog posts. The Patrick Weekes books are ones I’m adding to my tbr pile. They look and sound so entertaining.

I really did need to take a break. I was feeling so out-of-touch with everything. Trying to pull myself back together now though. 🙂

Sorry, way late with this reply (had a bit of a hiatus) but if you’re still looking I got the Buffy Funko from Amazon. 🙂

  2. ACK! So much cool stuff! Where do I even begin? The Hermione and Buffy Funko’s are fantastic! I’m also glad you got a signed copy of ACoTaR. I met SJM in May and she signed my copy and I will forever treasure it. The copies of The Raven Cycle books look gorgeous (even though I didn’t really care for TRK and I’m not sure if I’ll ever buy the next three books in the series). And you can never have too many totes! XD

Hope you enjoy all of your reading spoils!

I really had a blast getting all of this stuff. I have become a bit addicted to collecting Funko’s.

That’s so awesome you got to meet Sarah J Maas. 🙂

  3. I’ve been playing DA:I this week a lot too, I’ve yet to finish it so I haven’t looked at purchasing the DLC yet but I love it so much! I asked for Until Dawn for my birthday last week but didn’t get it ;_;

Enjoy your new books though!! They look fab
