Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly meme created by The Broke and The Bookish. This week’s theme is:

Top Ten New Series I Want To Start… ASAP!

My TBR pile is…ahem…pretty astronomical. I have so many series that I have bought (or at least, partially bought) it’s getting ridiculous. This list was pretty easy to compile because I had a lot to choose from.

1. Splintered series by A.G. Howard

Splintered | Unhinged | Ensnared

This series looks so amazing. I love fairy tale retellings as a general rule, but a retelling of Alice in Wonderland has me going positively weak at the knees.

2. The Maze Runner series by James Dashner

maze runner

The Kill Order | The Maze Runner | The Scorch Trials | The Death Cure

I very recently watched the film adaptation of The Maze Runner and thoroughly enjoyed it. It has really made made want to read the series. I already own the books but the film has definitely moved this right up the ranks of my towering TBR pile!

3. His Fair Assassin series by Robin LaFevers

fair assassin

Grave Mercy | Dark Triumph | Mortal Heart

I bought the first book in this series not long after it was first released but I have still not read it yet! Still, with the third book imminent, now would be a great time to finally get round to reading this series.

4. Legend series by Marie Lu

Legend | Prodigy | Champion

This series looks right up my street – I actually cannot believe I haven’t read it yet! This is definitely one I need to read as a matter of urgency – it must be done!

5. Throne of Glass series by Sarah J. Maas

throne of glass

Throne of Glass | Crown of Midnight | Heir of Fire

I really need to read this series – I really feel like I am missing out on something great as so many wonderful bloggers give this series a big thumbs up. It looks like something I would absolutely adore.

6. Shatter Me series by Tahereh Mafi

shatter me

Shatter Me | Unravel Me | Ignite Me

I got this series for Christmas and I promised myself I would read it in January. Yeah… that didn’t happen! Still, I am hoping to get round to it very, very soon.

7. Under the Never Sky series by Veronica Rossi

under the never sky

Under the Never Sky | Through the Ever Night  | Into the Still Blue

Another series I was looking forward to reading but I decided not to read it until all the books were released. The whole series is out now but I still haven’t read it yet! I totally suck! 😛

8. The Queen’s Thief series by Megan Whalen Turner

The Thief | The Queen of Attolia | The King of Attolia | A Conspiracy of Kings

I have heard so many good things about this series. I have actually owned it for a few years but just haven’t finally given in and devoured it yet – soon, very soon…

9. Daughter of Smoke and Bone series by Laini Taylor

Daughter of Smoke and Bone | Days of Blood and Starlight | Dreams of Gods and Monsters

This series…just looks absolutely captivating. So why haven’t I read it yet? Beats me! I am terrible sometimes. I have the whole series on my ereader just taunting me. I really need to get to it soon.

10. Divergent series by Veronica Roth

Divergent | Insurgent | Allegiant

Last, but by no means least, is the Divergent series. I saw the film about a month ago and it has really spurred me on to finally dive into this series. Hopefully will get to it before the year is out!

Whelp, that is my list of series I really need to read like right now! What about you dear readers – what books do you need to get to ASAP?

  1. Oh man, I love how you included the photos for each book in every series! That must have taken some time! I totally cheated and just included the cover for the first book in each series. We have a few series in common… I’ve got throne of glass and daughter of smoke and bone on my TTT as well. Those covers for the splintered series are lovely! I’ll have to look into that one 🙂 Here is my TTT:

    • Lol – it took forever! I was starting to think I would never get this post finished. 😀

Great picks – some I completely forgot about! The Lunar Chronicles and The Lynburn Legacy series are amazing – hope you enjoy them when you get to them.

Outlander is also another series I need to read after watching (and loving!) the series. Team Jamie FTW!

The Splintered series has stunning covers – I would read them just based on the covers alone – luckily though I’ve heard great things about the series. 🙂

    • I think I am going to love Splintered – it just looks so amazing!

I have heard some mixed reviews about the Shatter Me series but it hasn’t really put me off at all – I just really like the sound of the story. XD

You should definitely read Harry Potter – it took me years to jump on the bandwagon but once I did I was hooked!

  2. I absolutely love your list — beautiful graphic design and great books! I highly recommend the His Fair Assassin series (great timing — the third is coming out in Nov 4th), the Throne of Glass series, and the Queen’s Thief series (also made my list since I have yet to read all 4 books)! Have fun reading! ~Gwen

    • Aww thanks! <3

I have heard a lot of great things about the His Fair Assassin series so I am really looking forward to finally starting it. Same with Throne of Glass! The Queen's Thief looks like something I will love too. 🙂

The Iron Fey series is one I completely forgot to put on my list – thanks for reminding me! 😉

  3. Grave mercy is really good. Still to read the next one but it looks amazing. Currently reading Splintered and The Maze Runner, about a third into each. both really good so far. I love Alice in Wonderland. 🙂
